Continuing Project Legacy, One Conversation at a Time

7 Days 7 Meals Campaign - Day 2

Continuing Project Legacy, One Conversation at a Time

The second day of Youthika Connect's 7 Days 7 Meals Campaign brought us to Amma Nanna Old Age Home, where we continued our journey of building meaningful connections with the elderly. Every visit reminds us that while each home has its own unique atmosphere, the warmth and kindness we experience make every visit equally memorable.

🍪 Snacks, Stories & Smiles

With 11 core team members and 5 volunteers, we spent the afternoon interacting with the elderly, listening to their stories, sharing our own experiences, and creating moments filled with warmth and laughter.

After spending time together, we distributed snacks to all the residents. While it was a simple gesture, it became another opportunity to continue our conversations, enjoy each other's company, and strengthen the connections we had begun to build.

These moments reminded us that meaningful relationships are often formed through the simplest acts. A conversation, a shared snack, and the willingness to spend time together can leave a lasting impression on everyone involved.

🎲 Moments of Joy and Laughter

The day continued with an exciting game of Tambola, bringing everyone together for an afternoon of fun and friendly competition. As each number was called, the room filled with cheers, laughter, and excitement as the residents enthusiastically participated alongside our volunteers.

These moments reminded us that connection has no age barrier. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple game to bring people together, create new memories, and fill a room with smiles.

🌱 Carrying Project Legacy Forward

Day 2 was another meaningful step in Project Legacy. It reinforced our belief that creating an impact goes beyond organising visits or distributing food—it lies in the relationships we build and the time we choose to spend with one another.

As we left Amma Nanna Old Age Home, we carried with us not only wonderful memories but also a renewed appreciation for the power of conversation, companionship, and community.

With five more days ahead, we look forward to creating more smiles, sharing more stories, and continuing the journey that makes Project Legacy so special.
