7 Days 7 Meals Campaign - Day 5
The fifth day of Youthika Connect’s 7 Days 7 Meals Campaign took us to Susheel Foundation Old Age Home, where we were met with quiet smiles, lived stories, and eyes that carried decades of memories. In those moments, we were reminded that presence itself can be powerful. Sometimes, simply showing up and listening is the greatest act of care we can offer.
🍎 Fruit Bowls, Conversations & Care
Our visit began with conversations as we spent time getting to know the residents, listening to their stories, sharing our own experiences, and simply enjoying each other’s company. These interactions created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, allowing us to build genuine connections before distributing fruit bowls to everyone.
👕 Sharing Comfort, Sharing Smiles
During our conversations with the residents, we noticed that a many of them were in need of better clothing. As a team, we felt that if there was something we could do to help, we should.
Along with the fruit bowls, we distributed clothes to the residents in the hope that this small gesture would bring them a little more comfort and reassurance. Seeing their smiles reminded us that meaningful impact often comes from paying attention to the needs around us and responding with compassion.
Moments like these reaffirm what Youthika Connect stands for. Beyond organising visits and activities, we strive to understand the needs of the communities we serve and support them in ways that truly matter.
🌱 Carrying Project Legacy Forward
Day 5 reminded us that Project Legacy is built on compassion. Every conversation we shared and every small act of kindness reflected our commitment to ensuring that the elderly feel valued and cared for.
As we left Susheel Foundation Old Age Home, we carried with us not only memories of the day but also a renewed motivation to continue serving with empathy and purpose.
With two more days of Project Legacy ahead, we look forward to creating more smiles, sharing more stories, and continuing this journey of compassion.
