Continuing Project Legacy, One Story at a Time
7 Days 7 Meals Campaign - Day 4
The fourth day of Youthika Connect's 7 Days 7 Meals Campaign brought us to Sahrudaya Old Age Home, where we were reminded that sometimes the most meaningful moments don't come from activities or games, but from simply being present and listening.
From the moment we arrived, we spent time with the residents, getting to know them through heartfelt conversations and shared experiences. Every story we heard carried a lifetime of memories, reminding us of the importance of empathy, compassion, and human connection.
💛 Conversations That Matter
The afternoon was spent sitting alongside the elderly, listening to their experiences, sharing our own stories, and creating genuine conversations that brought us closer together. There was no agenda.
As the conversations unfolded, we realised that even the smallest interactions could leave a meaningful impact. Sometimes, offering a listening ear and a few moments of companionship can mean more than words alone.
🍛 A Meal Shared with Love
As lunchtime approached, we left the residents to enjoy a meal sponsored by Youthika Connect. While our time together had come to an end, we hoped that this small gesture would serve as another reminder that they are valued, remembered, and cared for.
🌱 Carrying Project Legacy Forward
Day 4 reinforced our belief that Project Legacy is about more than organising visits or activities. It is about building relationships through empathy, understanding, and consistency.
As we left Sahrudaya Old Age Home, we carried with us not only the stories we had heard but also a deeper appreciation for the power of simply being present for someone.
With three more days ahead, we look forward to continuing this journey, creating more meaningful connections, and carrying Project Legacy forward.
